Kyoshi Stacey E.
Boyette, Ph.D.

Kyoshi Stacey Boyette began her
martial arts training in the Japanese karate style of
Kyokushinkai in 1972 and received her Shodan in 1977. After relocating for
graduate school,
she began her training in USA Goju Karate with Hanshi Keith Teller at the
Gainesville Dojo in 1986.
Under Hanshi Teller’s tutelage Kyoshi Boyette won the Florida State Women’s
Full-Contact Karate Title
in the lightweight division in 1987. Following graduate school, she began
teaching USA Goju Karate
wherever her career took her and also began training in Goshin Do Karate in
1992. Kyoshi Boyette
currently lives in Falls Church, VA and maintains close ties with Hanshi Teller
and the Gainesville Dojo.
She teaches Chemistry, AP Chemistry, and USA Goju Karate at the Madeira School
in McLean, VA.
Training Experience: 6th Dan, 23 years Goju (32 years total)
